The Year of the Dragon... What Does it Mean?
A how can you maximize your own personal dragon year?
So many people have postulated many things about society in the coming years. But of course we have mostly heard doom and gloom if you have been listening to your happy go lucky fear porn salesman on the internet. I jest, but still; the internet is pretty known for its doom and gloom predictions for the future. Why do I bring this up? Well its because the Dragon year is shaking off all of the haters worldwide for a bright new future for humanity. The Dragon doesn’t care what the silly doom and gloomers think, he is gonna shine like a crazy little diamond anyway. The dragon is symbolic in Chinese culture. It represents all of our innate abilities as a human to overcome the impossible and achieve success. Let’s face it, after the last decade or so of chronic self- delusion in humanity; anyone can start feeling a little pessimistic.
Only the highest level spiritual adepts can keep their composure in an environment that becomes a little more cultureless by the day here in the West (and sadly the east as well these days.) With the major holidays having happened, a lot of people may feel a little bit of restored hope or vigor for going into 2024 with some purpose and a unique sense of familial duty and purpose. But wait, shocker, the western calender is really not the start of the real new year. Traditionally for thousands of years the new year was done in the start of spring, not in the dead of winter. So you will feel more of that renewed sense of purpose (mostly stemming from the warm and fuzzies generated by the rabbit year) starting on February 10th. This is the Chinese New Years date. And just because I like the Chinese New Years better doesn’t mean I’m some CCP fanboy. It’s just the time energy wise when you feel viserally different and you can start new things with better results.
If you are sensitive to energy you will be able to compare the energy on the week of Feb 3-9th, and then feel a difference on the 10th onward. Its pretty easy to feel it as long as some of your energy channels are open. You may just feel like you are in a better mood, even if you are not sensitive to energy at all. But anyhow I digress. By doing more in the Chinese New Years, and not starting any brand new projects in January or early February this year; you will have a much better chance for success.
So let’s say you are reading this and saying Austin you crazy son-of-a-bitch; I wanna swing for the fences this year and really achieve all of my dreams!!! And I’m prepared to ride the dragon of my dreams up into the clouds of my destiny like that dog from The Never Ending Story. Well if thats the case I would say that you should look into attending the upcoming Dragon Qi Gong class from White Cloud Monastery in Santa Monica. Why would I say that? It’s because if you are going to succeed with all of your dreams despite all the forces of evil, and societal cultural ignorance (both present within the modern day); then you will need the help of both the heaven and the earth to do that. Qi gong is one way to come into alignment with the heaven and the earth, humble yourself; and ask for help with a simple daily spiritual practice. You see success is many times more about letting things go and giving up than it is about tackling some insane herculean task. Its a small grind of letting go of ourselves, and letting the heavens guide us more than our own ambition. Obviously humans have wants, but they can easily align with the wants of heaven as long as proper respect and reverence for all life is maintained.
I’m attaching the Class flyer below, but you can call me at (310)923-8959 or email me at neonskyrecords@gmail.com to help you register. Or else just call Dr. Wu’s office at (310)458-1788 like it says on the flyer.
The dragon is the only year that can really and truly change the fate of a nation, individual, or the world. So whats the catch Austin? Why hasn’t the dragon brought us world peace yet? Well in order for the dragon to help, you have to really ask and pay respect to all of the glory that the universe is capable of bestowing. I know right before the last dragon year, I had for instance kind of lost faith in the religion I was practicing at the time (as I didn’t agree with the narrow mindedness of the leadership) but then I found this whole Daoism thing and it all made total sense to me. During the Dragon year 12 years ago I found my current teacher Dr. Wu who helped me clear a lot of bad energy that had been on me for a long time. After that I really felt like I was dang near reborn. So to say that I’m optimistic about this year would be an understatement. I would say if you are all open to this stuff then come to class and try the practices for yourself. You may have my type of an expereince and feel like a totally new person.
I am very honest that I am not yet the perfect Daoist person I would love to be. But I also know that I’m a hell of a lot closer to the person I want to be because of Daoism and Dr. Wu. I know I need to train 4 hours daily towards that to become further along in my path aI also know that I feel 100 percent at peace with my life and I could die tomorrow with no real regrets. I don’t think that most people could say that same, so I’m deeply happy with my Daoist practice in that sense.
At this point you could be again thinking you’re a real weirdo. Well I would reply yes you are correct. Because if you look up weird it is a word “suggesting something supernatural; uncanny.” So I think you would be right in your estimation. Hope you all have a lovely day and I’m sending my best to you all!
Awesome article :) And thank you for the chuckle: "And I’m prepared to ride the dragon of my dreams up into the clouds of my destiny like that dog from The Never Ending Story." Hahaha. I confess I am pretty doomy and gloomy when it comes to what's gonna happen to the world but I DO appreciate when others are optimistic! And, to tell you the truth, I HAVE felt some inkling of a possibility that things may get better in the world....I guess we will just have to see!
I had to edit the flyer a little bit more because it was unclear, but the date of the class is March 10th!
